Read “How digestion works” first.
The digested mush coming out of your stomach is still quite acidic. So much so, it would burn a hole in your intestines if it went straight through. So, the liver and gallbladder go to work changing the stomach mush from acidic goo to nice, absorbable, normal Ph molecules. In the case of swallowed mushrooms, stomach acid converts psilocybin into psilocin, which is easily absorbed. But every body is different: some people make more psilocin, and some make less. Some rare people make so little they feel nothing from capsules or dried mushrooms.
If you truly feel nothing from swallowed mushrooms, use a different route of administration. We recommend those people try our oral absorption honey stix instead. No digestion needed, as psilocybin is extracted into the honey.
